Southeast Asia

Asia is hugely important when it comes to climate change mitigation efforts. Even if we exclude the huge economies of China and India, Asia is still responsible for roughly 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. The agricultural sector plays an important role in local economies, making the region an ideal environment to gather insights on how land-based mitigation technologies and practices could help us to reach net zero by mid-century. LANDMARC’s case studies focus on sustainable rice production in Nepal, compost technologies in Indonesia and sustainable coffee plantation management in Vietnam.
