General Assembly 2023

This week, LANDMARC Horizon2020 has gotten together for its 2023 General Assembly. As we are a deeply interdisciplinary group of researchers, who bring a wide range of perspectives to the project, these assemblies are an enormously valuable opportunity for us to get to together to integrate the different strands of our research into a coherent whole.

Now that the week is winding to a close, itโ€™s a good opportunity to reflect on a vibrant week full of brainstorming, presentations, and field trips. Here are a few highlights:

๐ŸŒ The General Assembly started in the gorgeous town of Plascencia, Spain where we had sessions discussing earth observation tools, integration of models, the main risks for case study implementation, and stakeholder engagement.

๐ŸŒ Landmarc had a field trip to the Mosaico project where we discussed stakeholder engagement and organic farming techniques.

๐ŸŒOn Wednesday the General Assembly crossed the border to the city of Evora, Portugal, where we continued with presentations on the status of different work packages.

๐ŸŒOn Friday LANDMARC paid a visit to Herdade dos Padres, a family-owned farm to discuss opportunities for developing a business case for additional carbon sequestration.

This week was crucial for nurturing synergies between different work packages and finding new pathways for stakeholder engagement. Stay tuned for more insights into LANDMARC project!
